week4
This week, our group had a discussion and we finalized the theme, story, script, and plot for our project. Our story revolves around the future, office workers, mystery, pets, reproduction, dinosaurs, muscle men, and post-apocalyptic survival. We have also drafted some initial character designs.
Each member of the group has different tasks. I will be responsible for modeling scenes and creating parts of the story. Additionally, I will also be researching some toon shader techniques to ensure that our animation style is accurately represented.

week3
I am pleased to announce that I have joined a group to collaborate on a 2D animation project. The theme and overall style of the animation will have a looping nonsensical feel, similar to the Pepe Frog internet meme. The group consists of members from the 2D animation and VFX fields.
Each member of our group brings different skills and experience to the project. Some are 2D animators who are proficient in both traditional and digital drawing techniques, while others excel in VFX with extensive experience in visual effects and post-production. We will utilize everyone’s skills and experience to collaborate and complete this project.
In our discussions, we identified key scenes and characters and began creating concept art and storyboards. We also discussed the overall style and color scheme of the animation to ensure that our work accurately captures the looping nonsensical feel.
We understand that this project will be a significant challenge, but we are excited to take it on. We will use our skills and creativity to work collaboratively and produce an amazing 2D animation.
I feel honored to work with such talented individuals. I believe that our teamwork and efforts will lead to great success for this project, and I am confident that this group will bring some amazing VFX effects to the table.

week2
This week, my class and I played the Exquisite Corpse game. We split into three groups, and each group was given a sheet of paper with three sections. Each person was only allowed to see their own section and was tasked with drawing something based on it.
Once everyone finished their section, we folded the paper over so that only a small part of the drawing was visible, and then passed it to the next person in the group. This process was repeated until all three sections were completed. Finally, we unfolded the paper to reveal our collaborative artwork.
Playing this game reminded me of the importance of teamwork. We had to rely on each other to make our individual sections fit together into a cohesive whole. Communication was key to making sure that the final drawing made sense and looked good.
Each person brought their own unique style and ideas to the drawing, and I was impressed by how well they worked together. It was amazing to see how our individual contributions came together to form a final product that was greater than the sum of its parts.
Overall, playing Exquisite Corpse was a great exercise in teamwork and collaboration. It taught me that working together with others can result in something truly amazing, and I’m looking forward to more opportunities to collaborate with my team in the future.
I have been looking for a group or partner to collaborate on an animation project. I spent some time searching for and reaching out to people who share the same interest and skills in animation.
I had discussions with some interested individuals, where we shared our ideas and experiences. We discussed the theme, style, and technical aspects of the animation, and started planning how we could collaborate to complete the project.
Although we have not yet finalized a team, I am excited to work with these talented individuals to create an outstanding animation. During my search for a suitable group or partner, I realized that teamwork is crucial for completing a successful project. I will continue to search for the best collaboration partner and work together to complete this project.

week1 Fist meting
Today, our 3D animation class had a meeting with students from the 2D animation and visual effects courses to discuss a collaborative project. Our goal was to combine our different skills and create a stunning project.
Our 3D animation classmates discussed how to use 3D modeling and animation techniques to create the project’s scenes and characters. The 2D animation students suggested hand-drawing and digital drawing skills to add unique styles and features to our project.
The visual effects students also joined the discussion and proposed unique visual effects to attract the audience’s attention. We were all excited about their ideas and looked forward to seeing their implementation.
Although we did not discuss with VR and game design students, we also believed that their skills could contribute to our project. They could use VR technology to create a more immersive experience and provide gamification ideas to increase interactivity and playability.
At the end of the meeting, we decided on a project centered around animation and visual effects, but we will continue to seek help from VR and game design students to make our project even better. This is an exciting moment, and I look forward to working with these talented people to create an outstanding work!
